The word Humanity is often used to describe the human race, but I don't think that's entirely accurate. It's the sparkle in someone's eye as they gaze at a loved one. It's the pure, unbridled joy of a child and their family on Christmas morning as they open presents. Humanity is the hard work put in by your neighbor at the local charity down the road. It's not merely a group of people or a classification of things, as some would have you believe. Humanity is the connection we humans share with one another in that single, pure moment of recognizing a fellow human being for who they are—someone just like you, facing the same fights and struggles. Humanity is going out in blazing temperatures to show support for victims of a war between two countries, one of which you couldn't even point out on a map two weeks before the conflict began. Humanity is spending money you don't have to buy food for someone in need because you would rather go broke than see someone go hungry. Humanity is humans caring about humans. humanity is something this world is severly lacking....
