Bombing

kassie black

Buildings buckle, crumble, as people run for their lives, yet

One member of the world—a single voice—dares not speak for the fallen.

Might makes right, Israel claims, as Lebanon harbors “terrorists”—

But they expect us to take their words at face value,

Ignoring the carnage, the lives lost, as if this

Never-ending struggle is not a fight for freedom. Lebanon stands,

Gunned down, desecrated, yet resisting, for they know freedom is not only for the powerful.
